Support for Earthquakes effaced areas- FAO UN 2015
After a devastating earthquake which hit hard in Nepal on 25th April and 12th May 2015 and many aftershocks which devastated the country. It affected many places and also injured many where death toll reach to around 8000 and more. Many farmers across the country and most vulnerable agricultural areas, particularly the villages in mountain and hilly regions have been affected by the recent massive disaster. The affected families have lost their livestock, crop, food stocks and valuable agricultural inputs.
Main objective was to distribute aforementioned agricultural inputs to households in six Earthquakes affected Districts.
Districts: – Gorkha, Dhading, Nuwakot, Rasuwa, Sindhupalchowk, Dolakha.
Rice Seed= 39600 Packets
Vegetables seeds= 65,000 packets
Animal Feeds= 20000 bags
Grain storage bags= 40000 pieces were distributed
1,64,600 households directly benefited from this Emergency response.
